The aim of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and get those pieces off the board quicker than your challenger who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match of Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. Just how far you can shift your checkers is up to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and the way you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall playing tactics. Enthusiasts use differing tactics in the different parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The goal of the Running Game tactic is to entice all your pieces into your inside board and pull them off as quickly as you can. This plan concentrates on the pace of shifting your chips with no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s pieces. The best scenario to use this plan is when you believe you can move your own chips faster than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your checkers have past your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Technique
The primary aim of the blocking strategy, by the title, is to stop your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you have created the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other chips quickly off the game board. The player should also have a clear plan when to withdraw and shift the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when the opponent uses the same blocking tactic.
