The aim of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your chips into your home board and pull them off as quick as you could. This plan concentrates on the speed of moving your checkers with little or no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s pieces. The best time to employ this plan is when you believe you might be able to shift your own chips quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking strategy.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking plan, by the title, is to block your opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your chips rapidly. Once you have created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other checkers swiftly off the board. You really should also have a good strategy when to withdraw and shift the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opponent utilizes the same blocking tactic.
